SAVANNAH - Constance Marie Munn nee. Bernot-Costa-McCullough, beloved wife, mother, grandmother and friend, passed away October 8, 2007. She was born March 22, 1937 in Pittsburg, Kansas to Charles and Anna Bess Bernot. Graduated from Kansas State-Pittsburg with a degree in Medical technology and received further training at Research Hospital in Kansas City, MO and a Master’s degree in History from Armstrong State College. She retired from St. Joseph’s Hospital, Savannah after 29 years of service.
Connie may not have been born in the South, but she was a Southerner at heart. She was a fantastic cook who loved to eat, drink and be merry with her family and friends. A lover of animals, she had many pets throughout her life. She loved crafts, was a talented seamstress, avid reader and traveler.
Connie is survived by her husband: Don Munn; daughter: Cynthia Costa, Atlanta; sons: Jon Costa wife: Linda, and Joey Costa wife: Cindy of Savannah, GA. Her grandchildren, Owen Joseph and Logan Marie, were her pride and joy. Her sister Arlene Record husband: Tom and nephews: Tom, Rob, and Doug also survive her. Connie will be missed by sisters-in law: Janet Theresa Munn Michael Fass of Miami, FL as well as Suzanne Barbot children: Marc and Jennifer of Savannah; as well as step-children: Robert Schott Linda Morrow, Marcia Sullivan Tom, Melissa Schott and Russell Doreen and their children.
The family would like to express their love and gratitude to Mary Ann Seckinger for her complete and loving devotion to Connie throughout her illness and also Hospice Savannah for their care during her journey.
Visitation: Fox & Weeks Funeral Directors, Hodgson Chapel on Tuesday, October 9, 2007 from 6-8pm.
Graveside service: Wednesday, October 10, 2007 at 11:30 am at Forest Lawn Memory Gardens.
